What to expect

As a bride, you may wonder what all is involved once you book with Megan. Even ask why bridal makeup cost as much as it does. There is a lot that goes into preparing for each bride's individual wedding day. It's not just doing makeup! Here you'll see what Megan offers each step of the way!

Inquiring and Booking

Once you inquire with Megan, and she is available on your date, she will customize a quote for services and fees, so you get a good understanding of your wedding day investment. Any and all questions you have will be answered in a timely manner. Once you are ready to book, she will send a contract, a questionnaire to help her best understand your needs, and a non-refundable deposit invoice. These three documents will secure your wedding date once completed.

Next step is scheduling a trial. Trials are mandatory because they are important to best understand and capture your desired wedding day look. Megan will be able to understand what products work best for your individual needs, your skin texture, tone, and more. Megan will collect "inspiration" photos of makeup looks you love and get a better understanding of what you are wanting ahead of time. She also will schedule a good date and time that works best for you and her. Trials are always conducted on Sunday.

Trial Follow Up

Once your trial is complete, Megan will reach out to you the following week to see how you felt about the makeup and how it upheld throughout the day. She will save all notes on changes or no changes needed. She will also link your lipstick and powder she advises you to purchase so you can touch up if needed on your wedding day.

Wedding Day Timeline

Closer to your wedding day, Megan will send a final questionnaire that gives her the most updated and finalized information to put together a timeline of makeup services for you and your bridal party. Megan allots a specific amount of time for each client regardless if someone wants minimal makeup or full glam. Megan helps factor in all the details of your morning like, bridal party photos, first looks, how long it takes you to get dressed, and when everyone will be headed out the door. The creation of the timeline is important so that everyone is ready on time. Megan will send you the timeline to be approved and to be shared with the hair stylist, photographer/videographer, and coordinators so everyone is on the same page.

Bridal Party Photos

Megan will reach out to you after the timeline is approved to collect "inspiration" photos of makeup your bridal party would like on the wedding day. She will ask that you put together a document with each person's name, if they are a bridesmaid, maid-of-honor, or mother, along with pictures of makeup they would like. This is important because it prepares the artist on what is best desired per person. This also helps the client plan ahead on what they envison as well!

Final Invoice

A detailed and final invoice will be sent through the secure portal to be conveniently paid online. Sending the invoice in advance is done for your convenience so that you have one less thing to handle on your wedding day.

Wedding Day

On the day of your wedding, Megan will arrive 15 minutes early to set up. A designated area is requested that you have a station prepared and cleared for makeup. Megan brings a chair and ring light along with her kit. Remember, hair stylist need this as well! It is important that everyone getting makeup services arrive on time and ready to go. Any delays could affect services and put others behind in the timeline. Once all services are complete, touch ups for everyone will be done at the end. Megan will then pack up and head out for the day.

Megan understands that this is one of the most important and special days in your life and she strives to be a happy and clam presence to put you at ease. She always tells her brides to be honest with how happy they are with their overall makeup look! It's your day and as your makeup artist, Megan is understanding and will listen to all your needs!
